What ever happened to the Republicans being the party of personal empowerment and state's rights? Haven't they always been the folks screaming about smaller government, less legislation, and the right to personal privacy. I guess that all goes out the window when you get involved in trying to consolidate all three branches of government under the thumb of the executive.
